Sultani grapes (Vitis vinifera L.) are seedless grapes grown predominantly in the Aegean region of Turkey, where Turkey is the largest producer and leading exporter of these grapes. Sultani grapes are naturally sun-dried and then large pieces of the stems are removed. The color grading ranges from 7, the darkest, to 11, the lightest, with intermediate grades of 8, 9 and 10 in between. A higher number indicates a lighter color. Furthermore, grape size is classified according to the number of grapes per 100 grams, with categories designated as Jumbo, Standard, Medium and Small. Raisins are subject to sizing, packaging and labeling standards. Bulk packaging options are offered in cardboard boxes from 5 kg to 14 kg.
